Mail Call...

My little LOOOOOOOVES getting mail.
I mean it is ridiculous to see how her face lights up when she realizes that there's something in the mail for her... but literally times that by 1000 when it's a package.  There's just something about the mystery of it all that drives her to dive right in and rip that paper off as quickly as possible.  Delayed gratification is not really a part of this little's vocabulary or character.  (a trait she unfortunately gets from her mama!)

But all that to say - a big thanks to Aunt Hilary for the girl's gift... so thoughtful - and Ailey LOVED it... like loved it so much she didn't take it off for four hours until she had to put her pajamas on!)

The Weekend...

This was SUCH a Florida weekend...
We started Friday night off with an after-school-living room dance party... and while I don't have pictures of it, it will live on in my mind as one of my favorite memories with Ailey in a while... We had such a fun time strutting our stuff and rocking out to the Glee version of Friday - because well, it was Friday and we were "partying partying, yeah."   We headed to a friends' house for dinner and witnessed an insane lightening show... which I was eating up - it was truly gorgeous.

Saturday we spent at the beach, and Sunday after church we headed to a local park for some fun with some church folk...

Ailey was LOOOOVING the splash park.... 

And after an afternoon of cornhole and gabbing with new friends - 

we headed over to the center of town to check out the waiting food trucks.

Yeah we're talking some gooooooood food.  

And the weekend wrapped up for us with this amazing sky and some tired littles... 

One for the memory books for sure.

The Beach...

Short on words... but we had a wonderful time yesterday at the beach...

I think Ailey could live there... truly.  My girl is such a fish.

I know we have a lot of catching up to do...
(like 3weeks worth to be exact... but I promise things have been super busy and I will try to be better... )

For now though enjoy some image overload!

Missy-moo has totally decided she is ready to roll all over the place... This morning she rolled herself from the living room all the way into the kitchen!  Time to baby-proof I guess... 

On a totally separate note, as Etta has been growing it has been so wonderful to watch her relationship with Ailey grow too.  Ailey has been taking more and more of a helping roll - which not only helps mom but truly helps her feel more connected to her sister too.

 This past week I had a chance to spend some time with Benen (my nephew) -

I LOOOOOVE these of Etta for one reason only... these totally captures the look she gives something right before she grabs it... She has become so alert and so aware these last few weeks... 

It's so fun to see her really starting to take hold of her world...
