And then she was 5... well, almost.

During our Open House this afternoon, 

Ailey and I escaped for a few minutes to go on an adventure.

Earlier in the week she had asked if we could do a photo shoot before the baby came - 

and today being 80degrees seemed like the perfect day to oblige. 

What I didn't realize at the time was what a little 'art director' missy wanted to be...

Ailey really held most of the creative control on this one... 

She picked her own outfits -

told me what kind of location she wanted-

and even set up most of her poses, facial expressions, etc...

Really, I needed a video of her telling me what things should be in certain pictures...

(Just picture her lecturing me - her hands waving,

 fingers spread a part in her 'I'm explaining exactly what I want you to do 

and you better not screw it up sort of way')

She is SOOOOOooo her mom.

Sorry world.

We have truly been blessed with a beauty...

PS- I'm officially in denial regarding this birthday... 

there is no way this girl is already 5...
